Hey Ya! Is Outkast Back!?
Tommy Koelzer January 20, 2013“Hey Ya!” was a huge song in the 2000′s, but Outkast was so much better than that one song, making them undoubtedly under-appreciated. Actually, not under-appreciated, just forgotten…until now.
Outkast, the power duo sent from the heavens, consists of Andre 3000 and Big Boi. Together, the two of them are among the most powerful and successful rappers alive. New fans are often only familiar with “Hey Ya!” but after listening to tracks like “So Fresh, So Clean,” many listeners simply can’t get enough of the pair.
Andre’s voice just makes you say, “wow!” These men are the inventors of swag, and having swag was once a bad thing.
Andre 3000 even had his own TV show on Cartoon Network!
Wait, what? Ya, he was the voice of this character. Mind=Blown.
Here’s the new stuff:
The two haven’t been on a track together since 2006. Sigh.
They are, however, finally back!
Yes, they’re finally together on a song again.
Frank Ocean (of OFWGKTA)’s “Pink Matter” may only be a remix, but it’s a start.
When asked directly if the pair are back together, Andre just claimed that Big Boi remixed his remix. Inception.

So yes, this may not be the grand comeback tour one would prefer, but the pair is certainly getting closer together. I’m sorry, Ms. Jackson, the comeback isn’t for real.
Big Boi is releasing a solo album that features some big players like T.I. and A$AP Rocky, but Three Stacks will unfortunately not be on the album.
